Default Loads for 7 mm R.M. and 140 gr TSX

I’m getting back into reloading for the 7 mm R. M... Now, at the time when I had my 7 mm R.M. they didn’t have the TSX. Would anyone have any good loads with the TSX that I could start with...Thx...

66gr to 68gr of R-22 has worked well for me behind a 140gr tsx.

Thanks stubblejumper for the loads. I’ll work it up slowly... I’m looking forward in getting back into the 7 mm bullet. I’ve gone around with different cartridges but decided to get back to what I’ve enjoyed shooting for years....

+1 RL22 and 140gr TSX.RL22 is the first powder I try with the 7mm rem mag, in my rifleRL22 is by far the most used propellant for 140-160gr loads. If for some reason it doesn'tproduce I'd tryeither of the 4831's (had luck with both, but prefer H4831). Seems most guys have IMR4350 on hand likewise it's also worked with 140-150gr bullets in the rem mag.

I run H1000 w/ 140TTSX . . . . found it to be a bit more consistant than 22 when the temps dropped. I shot 22 for a while but when I would go from 70 to 20 degrees I would lose like 150fps and groups would go from .75" to 1.5" with a shifted POI.

But maybe you'll have better luck than I did

How was the R-22 load effected by increasing or decreasing the powder charge by a grain or two?I find that loads where the groups change noticeably by changing the powder charge slightly, are also the most sensitive loads to changing atmospheric conditions.I avoid hunting with any load that is not consistent as the powder charge is varied by a grain or two.

Don't forget about trying good ole' H-4350... seems always to be a great shooter for me and is pretty clean burning...

Yep, has a small amount of dust on it for now. This little guy has been sitting dormant waiting for my McMillan edge stock to come in and that should be by the end of the month, I hope. Once that stock is here it will be a different story. My Sako 260 Rem. will be my choice of rifle this year as my walkabout rifle and my 7 mm R.M. will be my long distance rifle used in my tower...
