C.O.L. of HP rifle roundsis not too critical as far as pressures are concerned. Believe it or not, thebullet is already 4"-6" up the bore before peak pressures occur anyway.

Set the C.O.L. for your gun at a length where the bullet is about 1/16" shy of touching the origin of the rifling, OR to a length that permits the rounds to function in the magazine of your rifle.

I use the same powder and charge 43gr of IMR 4350. I loadthe Speer 90 gr Hot-Cor bullet though, with a 2.650 C.O.L., groups well for me.;)

RE: .243 load data

I put a bullet on an empty case and chambered in gun closing the bolt. When I removed it, it measured 2.810. I loaded the case with 42.5gr. IMR 4350 and set the C.O.L at 2.700. I will shoot a few rounds this weekend and see how it goes.
