Checked the site out very usefull, got some loads there and they worked very well, every load I tried shot better than 1 1/2 in at 100.but the factory load shot better so far.
Have more reloaded to try next time at the range.
Did a report on the " firearms fourm" on last visit to range.
SO far really like shooting the 270 WSM

I have a Browning A-Bolt .270WSM also (Classic Hunter). It' s a nice gun. One thing that I' ve read in a number of places is that the factory ammo is pretty accurate and hard to beat. I' ve picked up an RCBS Rock Chucker kit and need to build a loading bench. Too many other house projects are ahead of that one, so it' ll be another month or so before the loading bench works its way to the top.

I' m shooting a WIN mod 70 in 270WSM. My best load so far is 61.2 gr of IMR4350 behind 130gr sierra btsp. This produced a 5/8" group with a stock rifle(no bedding). Factory ammo did perform well with WIN 150 gr - just under 1" group. I plan to try RL-19 next with the same bullet(sierra 130). Then, I may try RL-22 with a 140 gr sierra.
Oh and the load mentioned was a couple of grains shy of max according to Sierra.
All in all, I love this cartridge.

So far the factory loads have out did my reloads also. but at $30 a box you don' t get to shoot too many.I figure up that I am reloading for less than $8 a box so I can shoot more.Really love shooting the 270 WSM,
Another fellow mentioned the Magpro and I checked out the specs and with the sierra 130 gr. bullet you mentioned it gave 3359, so I am trying to find some of it to try.but none has any here so I had one to order a can.
Calnewbie, you sure will have fun when you get the loading bench finished,You will be running around scratching your head saying " dang what can I try next"
