Primer feed problem

I' m using a Dillon SDB to load .45 ACP' s. Out of the first run of 100 I had at least six that either didn' t get a primer or it fed upside down. Any ideas on how to correct this?

No I can' t believe this out of a Dillon????? Just giving you a hard time. I got a Lee 1000, and get beat up by dillon guys saying that it doesn' t happen. Not sure what to tell you other than oil build up. But you probably thought of that. I kinda take it as a way of life for my Lee setup.

That' s why I prime all my cases with the Lee Autoprimer by hand.

It sounds like your primer feed tube is out of adjustment ,I remember having to adjust mine ,but i no longer have that press . it would throw the primer or turn it over because it didn' t come down far enough .

The press he is refering to is a progressive press and the primer feed is part of the cycle . Its also self indexing .

Sounds like an adjustment to me too. I' ve never used a progressive press for metalic cartridge but I have one for shotshell (Mec 650) and hte adjustment is fairly critical to get it to feed the primers. Fortunately it' s also fairly easy to adjust.
