I have always understood that MOA was approximately 1" @ 100 yds. 1 MOA (minute or arc or angle)= 1.047 inchesat 100yards, 2.094 inches at 200 yards. The greater the distance the wider the arc becomes. If you were to draw an angle on a piece of paper you can see that the farther you move from the vertex the greater distance there is between the two lines. A 1 MOA rifle and or load will shoot within 1 inch per every hundred yards in distance. At 1000 yards this would be a 10 inch group (10.47" to be exact). you'd best be shooting .33" or better at 100 yds. |
