Good results with the 95gr. SST

For some reason, I couldn't find info on a load for the Hornady 95gr. SST for my .243 using IMR-4350. After several trips to the range I finally found a load my Tikka t3 lite handles well.
I am loading 40gr. of IMR-4350 with this bullet with a C.O.L. of 2.675". I have no signs of excessive pressure.
I don't have a chronograph, but if my Nosler & Lyman manuals are correct, I am getting close to 3000 FPS, give or take.
Just thought I'd share this in return for the help I have received in the past from this forum.

......Thanks for the info....I'm just getting ready to start loading for my new .243 AI and that gives me some basework for that bullet should I decide to give it a go. Let us know how your future workups go....

What is the twist rate and barrel length of your Tikka?
Thanks

Have you tried the 87 grain V Max? or the 85 grain TSX?

I believe the twist rate of my Tikka t3 Lite is 1 in 12. It shoots 1/2 inch groups, if I do my part with the Hornady 95gr. SST bullet.
I have used Sierra 85gr. HPBT and Hornady 87gr. HPBT. My gun was more accurate with the Sierra 85gr. HPBT.
My load for the Sierra 85gr. HPBT is 36.4gr. of IMR-4064 with a C.O.L. of 2.685". This load shoots similarly good groups.
I shot my biggest buck with the 85gr. Sierra and he dropped after taking 2 steps. When Hornady came out with the 95gr. SST, it peaked my interest as a heavier bullet with possibly better terminal performance at longer ranges.I don't know if this is the case, so if anyone can compare the 2 bullets in the field, I am sure it would be of interest to all of us who shoot the .243 Win.

I have excellent results with the same bullets and powder, but I charge with 41.9gr.
