Powder dippers
 
Does anyone use Lee' s powder dippers? Wanting to load pistol and rifle shells.

Yes, but I weigh every charge so I use them as a starting point . I find the one close to the load I want then trickle up. Hope this helps

I agree with using them like a spoon, to put the powder on the scale pan. But it would take a LOT of practice to develop a technique that would let you dip UNIFORM charges with one of these plastic dippers. And, unless you have a powder scale, you won' t know if you are doing " uniform dipping" or not! I consider an accurate powder scale to be one of those completely INDISPENSABLE implements for reloading!!

I ues a dipper with my electronic scale,but only to get " close" to the charge I want...;)

If you follow the chart that comes with them as to which powders to use them with they will work ,but It won' t be a quality load by any means .As others have said use a scale to check your powder charges ,and even your charges thrown with a powder measure should be checked on a scale .
