.308 once fired brass (and I don't reload)
I have some .308 brass (2 boxes = 40 rounds) that I saved from the range all this time. It is all Federal American Eagle rounds. I don't reload (my wife is a little funny about me having gun power and primers, etc... around the house ) so I was wondering if there is anyone out there who reloads .308 ammo.
I have no idea what value 40 brass shells would be.The empty brass are all back in the plastic Federal holders (10 rounds each) that come in the box. If anyone wants them, send me a PM. |

I talked to a buddy who knowsa guy who reloads and he'll take them off my hands (heck, maybe even reload them for me for a decent price). |

Been there myself ,for a small amount of brass the shipping will eat you up ,I had some 270 Weatherby brass and 7MM mauser and couldn't give it away ,finally just threw it in the scrape . Waste of good brass but what can you do .

RE: .308 once fired brass (and I don't reload)
My only question would be - how good was the Federal American Eagle brass.
With old age setting in - it is hard for me to remember much about that load, but I believe that some of my friends shot some in their machine guns a while back - because it was cheaper than the standard rounds. You get into some different things when the price of the ammo goes down - such as crimped in primers, cases made of things other than brass and some brass that is not reloadable. Most gun shops here will give you $2 a box for all the empties you can bring in. They will sell brass for $4 a box for all you want. You can pick though the empties and replace rounds that might have been stepped on at the range or damaged with rounds that are good. I had several boxes of .308 Winchester that was National Match Grade - that I could have sold for $10 a box for the empty's - box included. |

Next time leave them at your range, I am sure there will be a few brass scroungers there to pick out any brass out of the garbage bin.
