RE: Loose primer pockets?
I had the same problem with the Federal brass loading for my 7mm mag. Got it cheap and it was. Now only loading with Rem. Case life is lots longer.

ORIGINAL: Wilds Ironic that a guy named "Hotburn" is asking about loose primer pockets........ |
RE: Loose primer pockets?
Ditto and ditto !
Reloading 4-5-6 + times is usually about a max. A "loose" primer pocket, and there are other signs as well, is a sure sign that the cases are done. A good way to render these unusable is to crush the neck in the jaws of a set of pliers. |
RE: Loose primer pockets?
I had 100 new Win .270 brass that lasted near 10 years for casual shooting and big game hunting before necks started cracking.I find Rem brass a little on the hard side and cracking on the 3-5th reload.Your mileage may vary.......................Harold
