Greatest Reloading Tool EVER!
My RCBS Chargemaster 1500 Combo showed up the other day, and today I used it for the first time. The thing is sweet to say the least! I was getting tired of "hard to throw" powders, and was frustrated everytime I was loading. Now, loading is a breeze once again!
This is probably the best tool for reloading that I have bought to date! Just thought I'd give you guys my review, and I'll be sure to keep everyone updated as I use it more. |
RE: Greatest Reloading Tool EVER!
See, thats why I refuse to associate with folks with
1.) Nice trucks 2.) power trimmers 3.) auto powder chargemasters All, it does is make you want to buy stuff. Ignorance is bliss. So keep your cotton pickin blazing reviews to yourself. You might give people an inferiority complex. Like me |

RE: Greatest Reloading Tool EVER!
yep too rich for my blood too. If I go that route Im gonna have to rat hole money for like a year than Ill have to suffice with the pact dispencer and scale which is about a 100 bucks cheaper. But then again my Ohaus beam scale and lee powder throws, Pacific hand trimmer and my rusty '94 chevy pick up are all working just fine.:D

RE: Greatest Reloading Tool EVER!
Hey Rammer,
Does the scale have problems with electrical interference? I had a Lyman scale, lower end model and the thing would go way off out of no where. About how much is that gizmo? Thanks Tom |
RE: Greatest Reloading Tool EVER!
I haven't had any electrical inference problems, nor read of any when researching this buy. Thing costs $299.99. [:'(]

LOL, there's always a better and more expensive way to skin a cat.
FWIW, I've never been able to see the difference in accuracy between weighed charges and charges dumped from a carefully monitored powder thrower- I'd even argue that measuring powder volumetrically ismore consistantthan measuring by weight. |
RE: Greatest Reloading Tool EVER!
I'm with BC on this. I'll stick with my old reliable 45 year old Pacific press and Powder thrower and my brand new (only about 15 years) RCBS 505 scale. Besides, for $300 I can load a bunch of ammo.
But if getting all that new fangled reloading gear is your thing and you have the money - more power to you. I hope it works out for you. Oh BTW BC - I do have a nice truck........ |
RE: Greatest Reloading Tool EVER!
This just made the task of going home and finishing my loading project a real chore I wasn't prepared to think about yet. Oh well I only have about 200 left to "hand weigh".

If it makes if more fun and you have the ching, it's a good thing.
Measuring powder is my least favorite part of reloading. Tom |
