Default 7mm-08

Time to develop a receipe for the new rifle.

Rifle - Remington Mountain LSS. 22 inch barrel.
Caliber - 7mm-08
Bullet - 120 Barnes TSX
Brass - Remington
Primers - Federal GM210M
Powder and load ? Need suggestions

Target is NC Whitetail 100-150 lbs

I have IMR 4350, H414, H4831scand would appreciate any load data for these or other powdersuggestions. ThanksK-man

My pet load for the 120 TSX in my 7mm08 features 44.0 of RL-15 and a WLR primer....

Of the powders you have, H-414 would be the best candidate...I haven't tried 4350 with that bullet weight, but some folks have reported good results...

4831 is a little slow for that case...You may get good accuracy, but velocity probably would not be optimum...IMHO one of the advantages of the TSX is that you can use a lighter bullet and attain a higher velocity and still get good terminal performance...My load produces 3000 FPS out of my 22" Mountain rifle, and so far has kicked the snot out of the whitetails and hogs I've shot with it..I intend to try it this fall on caribou...

Varget has worked really well in my son's 7-08 with 120 gr. Ballistic Tips.
