Best dies for .257 Wby mag?
 

Hello everyone,

I just aquired a Mark V .257 wby mag. and I was looking for ammo. Well it is hard to find. So a friend of mine has been helping me reload for my 7mm rem mag and I thought it would be fun to do the same for my new rifle.

Since I' m new to reloading I was wondering if I could get some help from you all on good dies for the .257 Wby mag.

Also my friend has a 25-06 and is unable to get anything to shoot good through it except hornady 120 gr bt bullets. I would like to shoot 100 gr Nosler bt but may have to settle for the 115 gr bt. Do any of you shoot the 100 gr .257 Wby mag with good groups? And if you are able to get good groupings may I ask what your reciepe is.

OTS...I own 2 Weatherby calibers,a .240 and a .300. Both take a lot of trial and error to find accurate loads! I think the .257 will be the same,good luck because I think your going to need it...:eek:

The best dies are specialty dies like the Wilson dies and the next choice would be Forster dies. If you want the best these are what you are after. If you want good then any of the major brands will work: Redding, RCBS, and others. If you are price conscious then Lee brand fits that bill.

There are other custom dies that will be in the same league as Wilson.
