Default 7MM S T W

I have been thinking of getting one of these. I don't know why.

Has anyone heard anything about the barrels not lasting very
long? Like the throat will get burned out pretty fast..I hear that Reloader
powder is noted for that in this cal..I know there are several other makes
of powder available to use..I have some of the Reloader 25 and 22 on hand.

I have one in a sako 75. With 80gr of H1000 and 160gr accubond, I get over 3150fps, and with 78gr of RL25 and 160gr accubond, I get 3150fps and little better accuracy.

Yep, they are known to start getting throat erosion at 1000 rounds. And have heard guys getting 1800rounds thru before accuracy really starts dropping off.

Great Elk Cartridge, 1000 rounds in a gun like this is still good for most of us for a decade or more.
