RE: Full Length vs. Neck Sizing Pressures

But the question is, would the difference be significant enough to cause a problem, and I don't think so!
i agree. the difference would be miniscule. Just throwing it out there for fun and discussion. If you're close enough to unsafe pressures where you need to worry about this, you're too close anyway.

I don't know if this applies to you or not, Sling, but if you happen to have two rifles of the same caliber and start neck sizing your reloads, you may suddenly find that the ammunition will chamber in one gun and not the other...unless you keep the ammo seperated. This is the kind of happy problem that happens to guys with "too many guns," but it can be damned aggrevating if you match up the wrong gun/ammo.

I used to worry that FL sizing cases was an evil thing but after loading the same brass over and over and over, I finally stopped worrying. I think all my dies now are set to do about a 90% FL resize and I never have serious case problems. When I have a case getting fatigued, it will almost always show up as little cracks in the neck and I pitch them in the trash. By far most of the serious case failures occurr from hot loading...not FL sizing issues. You'll trash brass with excessive pressure long before you wear the stuff out with your dies...assuming you properly lube the cases.
