How to get started
 

I would really like to get started in reloading but know almost nothing about it. I have seen a few kits but i do not know if they have every thing i would need to reload. I would like to start reloading for my 7mm-08,can someone give me a list of what exactly i would need to learn and to actually begin to reload. Also im a little afraid of how dangerous is it for a beginner to reload and fire a reloaded cartridge so what precautions i would need to take to not injure or kill myself.

Assuming you already have a solid place to mount your press (and some nuts/bolts), or can build one, here's a simple list I'd recommend to begin reloading:

Lee Anniversary Reloading Kit (includes press, powder scale and measure, primer pocket cleaner, case trimmer, deburring tool, priming tool, case lube...might have left some others out)
Brass: you did save your factory brass, right?
Bullets, of your caliber and choice of brand/size
Powder, of your choice again. Look at some data, ask for recommendations. Hodgdon H4350 is pretty all-around
Primers: your reloading data will show which type, but I use CCI and Federal
Dies and shellholder: multiple brands are available, your choice of cartridge to reload: most die sets have a shellholder
Case Length Gauge: for use with trimmer included in Anniversary Kit

Other recommended tools/accessories:
Caliper
Hornady One-Shot case lube
Case tumbler and media
Reloading Manual

Maybe I've left some stuff out...but that should be enough stuff to get you going!

First recommended tool you should buy is at least one and recommended 2 or more reloading manuals and read them. I love my Hornady 7th Edition and am waiting for the new Nosler 6th edtition to hit the stores. When you read the manuals and follow instructions you will see just how safe it is or at least should be.
