Cabela's loves me

I got one of those 20.00 off your next purchase deals... The only catch... You had to spend 150.00... Well I just bought the new 7mm Mag Browning A-Bolt Stainless Stalker with the BOSS... So there was no prob spending 150.00... I bought the neck sizer die, shell holder, 150 unprimmed brass,2 boxs of 140gr Nosler Accubond,1 box of 140gr Nosler Part... All together like 180.00... Thought I'd stock up on componenets...

I was wondering if the Nosler BT would hold up out of a 7mm Mag???

I wouldn't recommend BTs but the Nosler Accubonds have a heavier taper in the jacket so they'll be fine for deer at 140gr and even elk at 160gr.

I was kinda figuring that the 140gr BTbullet coming out of a 7mm Mag would prob explode on impact sorta like a varmit bullet does on a groundhog...

Not true, 140gr nosler BT does wonders out of the 7mm mag on deer sized game, the BT will not explode on impact, your only talking 3300fps with a thick skin jacket hunting bullit not the thin skined varmint jacket. Too many people get the two confused then try to make everyone think they are no good. In my oppinion, this is one of the better bullits on the market for deer andantelope.

We're suposed to be getting a Cabela's in Canada [Winnipeg] they bought out SIR.I used to order from Cabela's but by the time UPS and Customs got finnished screwing you ,the price of the goods doubled. They wouldn't sell you a gunstock because it was considered a "gun part".Hope this improves...........Harold

I have a Cabelas 3 miles from my house. I have a Cabelas card which my wife and I put all of our monthly purchases and expenses on. Purchases made onthe card give you 1% in 'Cabela's points' which can be redeemed in stores or catalog orders. I go there every month to get my $20-25 in free stuff.:D

Just came back from the Cabela's in Grand Forks a week and a half ago. You can't beat the prices on clothing especially when compared to what we pay for them in Canada. Picked up some insolated bibs for under $100 there and the same bibs here are well over $200. As to using the BT design out of the 7mm mag, I use them all the time and they have always performed well.

Nosler states that you should not shoot BT's faster than 3000/ft/sec. Just load them down to 3000 and the BT's will work fine. Many reloaders try to get them to go as fast as they can, and thats where they get into trouble with the bt's blowing up.
