243 cases get stuck

i just setup my new 243 dies today, and i am having problems. when i decap the primer and and raise the arm to release the case, it is almost impossible to release. it is so tight. any ideas on what could be causing this. i am using lubricant but its not helping.

Several possibilities......
1. Are you certain you have the dies adjusted correctly?
2. Are you lubing the inside of the case necks too?
3. You may possibly have a set of dies that were not machined correctly. This is not as uncommon as you may think.
There are other possibilities that may exist here, too. I just tried to cover some of the easiest first.

As usual, Pa is right. I found out after exhausting calls to RCBS that I had a set of dies way too tight. My problem however was headspace. That was when I first started loading over a decade ago and only had calibers. Now I have mics and headspace gauges to help diagnose problems with dimenions.

I hate to ask a stupidquestion, but are you lubing the case body? Cause I use small base dies for my semis, and they really squeeze that bodydown, and Iam able to get it out easily when lubed.

Another thing, stick you pinky in the die and see if there are rough edges or machine markes. I have had thisissue with Lee dies.

With a drill you can lap the inside down to a mirror finish.

If your lubeing inside and out, remove the re-sizeing die and clean it ,that might help...[:o]
