Reloading for an Encore

As many of you know, I just got myself a Pro Hunter 7mm-08 barrel for my Encore this week. I was just wondering how a guy goes about seating bullets in a single shot. I'm guessing you can't seat all the way to the lands, so how does a guy determine the proper seating depth in a single shot?

I use a OAL gauge for all of my Encore barrels...;)

Hahahha. Well I know that much. I guess what I was gettin at, where do encores shoot the best, next to the lands, off the lands a ways, etc.

I have all my bolt guns setup about .005" off the lands.

Best advice I could give is try different OLA and see what shoot's best from your Encore...;)

Well, I loaded up 5 rounds with 140gr BTs and 50rds with 139gr Hornady SSTs and 5 rounds of Barnes TSXs.

Once the wind settles down we'll see how she shoots, Encores have a very deep throat!
