RE: 243 Sierra 85 gr. HPBT for deer

Well I called Hornady on that 85 grain Light Magnum load today. The ballistics aren't on the website, but the guy on the phone said 3175 fps at the muzzle. That didn't sound right, so I checked the velocity on the Federal 85 grain Sierra, sure enough it was higher than the quote Hornady gave. I assume either it's not actually a Light Magnum load or the guy on the phone was wrong. Anyone have any ideas or more info?

That group was shot with one of the first remington classic's that came out.It is out of the box accurate.did adjust the trigger tho.
Below is a good group with the 100 gr core-locs.The lower group is the same 85 gr load this is how the group usually shoots at 300yd.I just got lucky on the 2 good groups.Think those target squares are 2x3 inches.
