Looking to get into reloading my own ammo
 

I am looking into reloading my own ammo and I am curious at what I need to get started

I will be loading 454 casuel
30-06
9mm
44mag
243
I am adding more guns to the collection its just getting to the point it costs 2 much to keep buying ammo to shoot and throw away the brass
so in the past few months I have started saving all the brass I shoot
please include links where I can buy the materials for the different calliburs
I am not just looking for the cheapest I can buy but I am looking for quality as well

At the top of the reloading forum is a thread that says "New to reloading, READ THIS FIRST"

Under that is a list of needed supplies, and a list of prices from Cabelas. Stuff can also be bought at www.midwayusa.com, graf & sons, midsouth, etc.

Yes, and if you are looking to save money, almost anything you need for reloading can be had off e-bay for no more than half the retail price, and alot of it is new or practically new. This includes brass & bullets as well as equipment.

thanks for the replys

the cool thing is I am not going to have to buy a tumbler at first I am going to be able to use mini mill with the corn cob media
these mills are no longer used so no one would even know what I have in them lol

there is a guy at work that is going to show me how to do it the first time

I got on ebay and looked at the prices ebay that I am going to be able to get the parts to load my 454 cas and by the time I load 100 of those my equipment will have covered itself
ammo has gotten extreemly cheap here since the new bass pro shop has oppened but I know that will more than likely be short lived but rounds that costed me 23 for 20 has gone down to 13 all except for the 454 cas

I just got into reloading myself about 6 months ago and I will tell you what. If you have the time and the room to set up then there arent many things that compare to the self satisfaction that you get out of a job well done. I love it. So far I have reloaded about 7-800 rounds. Now I can shoot a whole lot more for the same money that I would have spent on just a couple hundred rounds. Now I can afford to shoot more than just 22 rimfire.:)

yeah reloading the 454 casull alone is going to pay for the equipment to get set up
I cant wait to start loading my own ammo
we do a lot og shooting with my 9mm as well every time we go to the range we take it along and put about 200 rounds through it
and I have put 50 dollars woth or ammo in my 30-06 in one sitting
as for the 454 you know what that costs for the cheapest ammo its nuts
I am trying to talk to my buddy about loading his ammo and just have him get a few things for reloading to even further offset the costs

I was looking at some of the Lee equipment and wow thay have some nice automated equipment
