.257 Accubonds

Just bought a new T/C Encore 26" 25-06(stainless/hardwoods). It sounds like the 110gr Accubonds would be great for muleys and speedgoats. Any experience w/ this bullet or load info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Brett[/align]

This is about the best all around bullet I have ever used in this caliber. I shoot a .25-06 Ackley Improved and push this bullet at almost 3400 fps. Shot an elk two years ago at about 200 yards - broke the near shoulder and wound up just under the hide on the off side - still intact and mushroomed nicely. Took a nice mule deer last year - broadside in the ribs - bullet exited, but not by much. Deer didn't go 15 yards. Loaned the rifle to a buddy of mine this fall and his daughter took a cow elk as well as full curl ram. The elk went right downbut the ram just stood there for almost a minute - couldn't take a step, but didn't go down either - until she put another shot in the shoulder. Again, the bullet broke the shoulder and still had enough left to carry into the vitals. Load these with confidence!! They are great.

I plan on switching to this bullet for my 257 bob, as soon as I finish off all the corlokts and interloks.

Ditto to what Roskoe said! I shootthese in my Remington Classic 25.06 and they are very accurate in my rifleand their performance on game has been excellent for me. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

I shoot 140 grain Accubonds in my 7 mag at 3300 fps and the are bad to the bone, the only one that betters it is a Partition.

OkieBill-if you don't mind my asking, what powder are you using to get 3300fps w/ the 140 Accubonds? They shoot good in my gun, but I can't get the velocity past 3200fps w/ 69gr R-22.
