RCBS jr.

I was just wondering what the difference between the jr. press and the rock chucker press was. I noticed that the jr. can be had for quite a bit cheaper. THanks

The Jr.'s press frame is not as massive as the Rockchucker, nor does it have compound leverage. This is mox-nix as long as you are not going to swage bullets with it. You can make just as good ammo with the Jr. as any other, it just takes more force on the operating handle to size cases.

I recently bought a Rockchucker, but I still generally use my 1967 vintage Jr. for everything except heavy-duty sizing and case forming. But being kinda nuts, I still use my old-time Lyman 310 tong tool from time to time as well.....

i've had the same RCBS, Jr for about 35 years. It has served me well.It is a bit difficult to full length re-size .30-06 with it: But that should seldom be necessary.i am remindedthat i need to take mine apart and give it a good cleaning and oiling. Thanks.

I had one for many years. Great press.

I've had a few of them over the years too... As was said, the Rock Chucker is easier when sizeingbigger cases, so i've never ended up keeping one. Good press though...
