You have to be a copper club member to access it. So far they've only got some 30 cal loads listed. More coming soon.

Cool. Thanks. I have always received good load info from Ty at Barnes when I needed it. Pretty good company to deal with.

ranger,
Would you happen to have the load data for the 130gr TSX for the 30 cal? If you do would you please post it, i'd really appreciate it.

Also, what has been your experience with the seating of the barnes tsx bullets. I hear alot about seating .050 off the lands with barnes bullets. Are these tsx bullets as finicky as the x bullets when it comes to seating depth?Thank You! Mike

Mykey,
Which 30 cal load? 30-06?
.050" so far. I've had a love / hate affair with Barnes bullets for some years now. Until the TSX came out, I probably spent around $500 on X bullets and only had one load that was an exceptable compromise between accuracy &velocity. But all of them fouled my bores more than I wanted.
Now I use TSX's in almost every gun I load for. I started every load at .050" off the lands and haven't changed it. I'm able to push them at max velocity with great accuracy, andwithout a lot of fouling, and extra cleaning sessions on the range. My favorite gun/load is my XP100 in 308 Win with 150 grTSX FN (30-30) @ 2650 fps. Super accurate and it knocks the hell out deer and hogs. My wife's 260 Rem is more potent now that we use 120 grTSX.
Let me know which load you're looking for and I'll post it.

RE: Barnes Triple Shock??

Kelbro, yeah Barnes is usually quick to email back. I emailed them some time back about using that 150 gr XFN (30-30) in my 308 pistol, wondering if I could push it at 2600+ fps without breakup. Ty wrote back the next day and said, "push it as fast as you can, and don't worry". He was right.

ranger,
Yes the 30.06. I've never loaded bullets that far off the lands before but i'll start there first and see what happens. I have two boxes of the 130gr tsx on order and hope to find a good load for my 30.06. Thanks for the help, i really appreciate it. Mike

I emailed Barnes last week about this bullet and load data for it but i haven't heard back from them yet.

Yeah, I really had a problem with seating those bullets so far off the lands. I finally got over it, tried it, and it worked. I still don't have a good explanation for it. You're welcome. Mike

I've shot x bullets in four or five different rifles since the early 90's and never have found that seating bullets .030 to .050" off the riflings to be worth anything in my guns or any of my friends guns. I personally think that was nothing more than a smokescreen designed to cover up the fact that the x bullets with the secant ogive just wouldnt shoot worth a toot in most rifles. Now that Barnes has done away with that design, the x bullets and the ts as well, shoot almost as good as the original flat base design. I hunted with two rifles using ts bullets this fall, and both were loaded .010 from touching. I usually try .010, .015, and .020. Every time I've tried more than that the results got worse.
