Please I.D. this bullet.

We butchered my buddy's elk last night and in it's rump we found a bullet from an old wound that was healing.. We guess that it was shot earlier this season. Fortunately we only had to cut out very little meat.

Anyhow it's a .277 lead bullet with a 'T' stamped on the base.. It was a heavy bullet, mushroomed it weighed 134 grains..

We are just curious and want to know the bullet manufacturer..

Thanks..

This bullet is a Trophy Bonded Bear Claw. It started out weighing 140 grains, and typically retains close to 100% of its weight. One of those bullets where the jacket and lead core are soldered together into one homogenous unit. They are nearly indestructable, and generally mushroom to a big frontal diameter.

Well, we KNOW it wasn't Elmer Keith! Perhaps Jack O'Connor, using his favorite .270 WIN???
