RCBS or Hornady press ?
Whats the better press.... a rockchucker, or the Hornady 'Lock n Load' ? The Hornady sounds nice but is it as accurate a loader as the RCBS ? I was wondering because of the lock n load feature.... Just curious to hear everyones input as Im getting ready to get one of them.... |
RE: RCBS or Hornady press ?
I own a RCBS Rockchucker press it has never let me down. Good luck.

RE: RCBS or Hornady press ?
I started reloading with the rockchucker and as handloader said it's a good piece of equipment, although since then I have gotten lazy and went to the Lyman turret press so I don't have to remove and install dies. Once the dies are set up I leave them alone unless I see changes in my over all lengths, etc.
As for the Hornady I don't own one and none of my friends even have one so I can't remark on it. Good Luck with the reloading and watch out it becomes addicting :) |
RE: RCBS or Hornady press ?
I would go with the Rockchucker and I own one and it has been a good press. If I had to upgrade from this it would be a Redding Turret press or a Redding Boss.

RE: RCBS or Hornady press ?
I have loaded on the Hornady and it seemed to be a good press . I was even considering buying one at the time, but then I was offered a better deal on a dillon 650 so I bought it instead . Now I use a rcbs progressive and a rockchucker both. I find I like a single stage better than I do a progessive due to the control . They both work great its just a matter of preference .
