Using the Lee Classic Reloader
I picked up one of these for reloading my .270 brass. I figured that I would try to save some money and also give me something to do at the same time. Well after picking up a can of IMR 4831 and some Speer 130gr boat tails I have reloaded close to 100 rounds with good results. With 55.8 grains of powder I am getting about 1.5 inch groups at 100 yards, which is about as well as I personally can shoot with that gun with just shooting off from sandbags. Now for a question. I picked up one for reloading 30-30 rounds as well and am using Speer round nose 150 gr. round soft point bullets and am having a problem with crushing the brass, or folding it when I try to seat the bullet. Does anybody know of a boat tail bullet in a round nose that I could use? Because I think that the problem is that I resized the brass a bit too tight for these bullets. And I did nearly all of my brass up already. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I don't believe there are any boat tail round noses, why don't you try some pointed soft points in the 30-30?

RE: Using the Lee Classic Reloader
I think all you would need is a good chamfer tool like the RCBS one. It works on all calibers and cleans up and bevels the inside of the case mouth. I love the little Lee Loaders and used them for years before I jumped into reloading with both feet.

Thank you for the suggestion, I will look for one today. I do have a tool that deburs and rounds off the outside of the cases, maybe it will work on the inside as well. If not its off to The White Elephant to pick up an inside chamfer tool.
