Which calibers to you reload for?
A friend said I have too much stuff. I seriously doubt there is such a thing, when it comes to reloading equipment. :D
Anyway, I load for: RIFLE .223 .280 Rem (soon to be .280 AI as well) .30-06 .300 WSM (for my father-in-law) .338-06 .375 H&H (for my neighbor) PISTOL .221 Fireball .9mm Luger .38 Special .357 Mag .357 Sig .40 S&W 10mm .400 Cor-Bon (in hindsight, this probably wasn't my best idea) .44 Mag .45 ACP .45 Colt .454 Casull SHOTGUN 12 ga 20 ga |
RE: Which calibers to you reload for?

I don't have but three rifles and two pistols that i personally load for and ifind myself not having enough time to do that. I have a couple close friends i also help a little when time permits which isn't much. I have a 12gaand my son has a 20ga but we shoot factory shells in those.

RE: Which calibers to you reload for?
Mykey, I live in Alaska. Reloading gives me something to do in the winter. :D
I load for all these calibers, but I haven't loaded for some of them in very long time, like .357 Sig, .400 Cor-Bon, and .221 Fireball. One of these days I will dig them out again. My hobbies are on an seasonal Alaskan rotation. In the summer, I fish like crazy. In the winter, I reload and shoot as much as I can and the weather will allow. |
RE: Which calibers to you reload for?
Although some of these rifles havent been fired in a while. So you could say I am set up to load for them I just havent for some time. The ones with the * I actively reload and shoot

Because if you are, you may reload for a lot of calibers, but 90% of them are wildcats or very hard to find calibers, I guess thats why you reload?

RE: Which calibers to you reload for?
I reload for a ton of calibers. HOWEVER, I am trying to quit. I hope to soon be loading for the 270 WSM, 7MM-08 and 44 Magnum. I am burned out on trying to keep stocked with so many different components. I will keep all my dies and stuff in case reloading for some of my calibers becomes mandatory but I am going to scale WAAAAAAAAYYYYY back.

RE: Which calibers to you reload for?
DM & cma3366a,
Thanks for finding the old thread, and I appologize for being redundant. I read the other thread, and there was some discussion about reloading for friends. Here's what I do. If my friends want me to load for them, instead of doing it for them, I invite them over to load their own ammo. I walk them through the processes, but they do all the work. They buy their own components, and I supply instructions and the use of my equipment. A few have been hooked, and have bought their own equipment. Others are really appreciative, and come over once a year to load ammo with me. It's been a good thing, and I've never had anyone blame for bad loads, losing game, etc. Is there anything wrong with what I'm doing, in the legal sense? |
RE: Which calibers to you reload for?
ShatoDavis,
Impressive list of calibers! A friend is starting to load for his .338 RUM. What powder have you gotten the best results with? He wants to use IMR 4350, but I thought a slower powder might be better. What do you use? |
RE: Which calibers to you reload for?
I would not think so. As long as they know that they are responsible for selecting their own load. Sounds like the best way to do it.

Just getting back into reloading this year. The 204 ruger is my passion at present. And the little 17 HM2 & 17 HMRI suppose are responsible for getting me back into the shooting game. Just love the ability to reach out & shoot flys at 125 yards w a low recoil firearm.
