Which book?!

I know that with the Lee hand priming tool, the book says DO NOT USE FEDERAL PRIMERS. Lee says they are good primers but not safe to use in hand priming tools.

I am glad you reminded me of the book stating that, I forgot that I read that in the manual.I was recently using Federal primers in the lee hand primer. (without incident) I can imagine that could put a racin stripe in the shorts when you are not expecting it.
Probably would not be a bad idea for Lee to print it right on the top of the primer tray lid. Just for us guys that dont ever look at the instructions untill after we figure out how it works.

So...Are they saying that other priming tools are less susceptible to Federal primer detonation, or are all equally susceptible but the hand priming tool has a greater possibility of injury?
My solution though is to heck with Federal primers.
As a side note, these primers were bought for $35/1000 during the primer scare of '94. I know....ouch.
