well, 15 years ago, I would say remington, now I would say winchester. Remington has really disapponted me in the last 5 years. So I moved over to winchester for some of my calibers. Also it seems to last longer laoding in my STW.

For pistol and 45-70, I have just about moved all over to Starline.

I prefer Winchester to Remington. However, Lapua and Nosler is about all I use these days.

IMHO,Winchester,Remington seems a bit harder?
The worst, for me ,seems to be Federal.

I've been loading Win. brass exclusively for years, unless they're not made for the caliber I'm reloading at the time. Remington brass is too brittle or hard, I feel, and tends to crack and split more readily. I get more loadings out of Win. brass.

I also prefer Winchester brass, seems to have a tighter primer pocket than Remington, I use Remington brass in my .280 Remington only because Winchester only sells unprimed in nickel plated and I've heard it's tough on case trimmer cutters.

I prefer Noslerbut use Winchester and Remington for a few guns. I've found Remington brass to be brittle, inconsistant in weight and thickness, and the primer pockets aren't uniform. I use Rem brass for my 260 Rem. Out of 40 rounds fired I average losing 6 cases from primer pocket stretch and split necks. When I was using Federal 260 Rembrass I never had these problems.
