RE: Sporting Clay Loads

I use Rem STS hulls , CCI 209 primers , 21.0 gr of International Clays and a Windjammer wad .
I get 1180 fps out of my 30" barrels .
I use a 32 MEC bushing , suposed to drop 21.5 gr, but for me it drops 21 gr

Thanks John, I'll load some up this weekend. My MEC seems to drop a little lite also. What gun are you shooting?

Some shoots are only allowing 1oz loads, you might want to load up some of them to try out. I shoot the Federal Top Gun ammo, its cheap, reliable, and shoots good. I don't even mess with reloads anymore.

I load 18 grains of DuPont Hi-Skor 700X. I use 1 1/8 oz. of 7 1/2's in AA hulls for longer shots, and 1 1/8 oz. of 8's in Remington Premier hulls for shorter shots.

RE: Sporting Clay Loads

I use federal hi power rolled paper base hulls with fed 209A primers and WAA12 white wads with the 20.2 grains of green dot my hornady #471 bushing throws and 1 1/8 oz of reclaimed shot (which is usually a mixture of 7.5's and 8's).

according to alliant with this load 20 grains green dot = 3 dram and 22 grains green dot = 3 1/4 dram so the 20.2 grains would be on the stiff side of 3 dram. I use this load for everything from clay pigeons to small game, upland birds and Pheasant. My brother inlaw has taken 2 turkeys with this load too im not sure why he used them but he did:D.
