Thanks anyhow |
RE: 168gr Barnes TSX bullets
I'd be glad to help you if I had any experience with either of those cartridges, but I just got my .300 Win yesterday. I'll eventually try the TSX in it, butI've got some other bullets on hand I'm going to try first.

LB,
I just got back from the range this weekend. Had some good luck with the 168 TSX from my 300 Win Mag. I shot a few groups.Twoof the four were under 2" at 200 yds. 77.6 grains of RL 22 was the best, second best was 78.4. |
RE: 168gr Barnes TSX bullets
Thanks for the info...
I will be loading them up with some RL22 this week end... |
RE: 168gr Barnes TSX bullets
H4831sc does nicely with the 168TSX's from my 300 Weatherby

RE: 168gr Barnes TSX bullets
I like H4831 77.3 grs for the 165gr bullets so the 168grs wouldn't be but a hair off.
Dvdegeorge how do you like the H4831sc compared to the regular H4831. I have not yet tested it out. I would imagine it loads alittle smoother. But don't know how it would come out with the same charge. |
RE: 168gr Barnes TSX bullets
To be honest have never used the H4831 only the sc version.Meters good and is accurate for me,according to Hogdon it is the same only shorter cut.

thanks dvd, I would think it would be very close on loading the same. And I could see the benefits in perfomance in loads.
