RE: Primers
You know the internet just isn't fair. :DWhen I started reloading, you had to pay your dues. There was no freakin internet pages to give tips. You had Lymans and RCBS tech lines. And the little tidbits were invaluable.
It took me years to find out that CCI primers were alot less sensitive. You picked up these tips on your own or Precision rifle or handloader mag. I helped Mossyoak33 when he started reloading. And he had knowledge he got off the internet that took me 5 years to learn. It just ain't fair. And now load data is at everyones fingertips. Tons of it. |
RE: Primers
You're absolutely correct........ that's the way it was years ago before the advent of "instant knowledge" via computers. Probably a lot less one-eyed three finger handloaders out there now because of it, too.....

RE: Primers
LR size should work for both. If you are going to use a very slow ball powder in the .300 Win. Mag., you may need LR magnum size, like Federal 215's.
I am partial to Federal primers, but have also had good performance from CCI and Remington primers........ |
