In the .30-06 and 330 Win Mag the 180 gr TSX are the most accurate bullets fired from them. I've tried Nosler BT and Accubonds and Sierra Game Kings which were satisfactory but the TSX is far more accurate. I'm waiting for their new manual to come out in spring before I try them in the 270 and 7mm-08.
If you contact Barnes, they can email you data for the TSX in certain cartridges if they have it available (they don't have yet for the 7-08or the 270).

haugenna,

How do you like the 30-378?? Does it kick as much as people say?? The balistics on them are better then ANYTHING except the Lazzeroni.

jeepkid...

This could open up another can of worms, but since you asked ME, I will give you the short version.

I like mine a lot. I reload for it so it reduces the cost of ammo. The weatherby accubrake reduces recoil to a small poof, about that of a .243. I always use muffs on plugs at the range and banded plugs in the field. It has been said that these guns are barrel eaters. So far this year I have put approx 250 rounds through it for a grand total of approx. 400 rounds. It still has held its accuracy. It is a little overkill but it has been a fun rifle to play with. Are you thinking about getting one???

I fired a sako trg-s in 30-378 and the recoil wasnoticeably harsher than my 300ultramags despite only producing about 80fps more.

I had great success with a 168tsx round through my Model 70 in 300WSM.

Below is Elk and recovered bullet from inside of opposite shoulder from a quartering away 250 yard shot. The recovered bullet weighed 167 grains.
