Mykey tried your load with the 110's with my new Tikka didn't get a one holer but did get 2 groups less tha 1/2 inch with 53.5 and 54.5 both shot the same@100yds
Tried the 120gr Sierra and Hornadyusing 50 and 52 grain and they shot awesome also..
Haven't gotten the Tikka where I want it yet my buddie took it home with him to float the barrel to see if that makes it better.
Thanks for shareing the load

My best load so far is 62gr of ramshot magnum in a rem case with wlrm primer. I consider this max in my rifle.

Have you chronographed this load. I don’t have access to a chrony. I am trying to work up this same combination.
Thanks,

DO NOT USE THIS LOAD!!
HOT!! BEYOND MAX.
25-06 ruger varmit mk2
110 nosler accubond
62gr ramshot magnum
cci lr primer
col 3.205 (0.005 to 0.006 off lands)
Winchester brass (fire formed)
Lee collet die (neck size only) and lee factory crimp die
3486fps over chronograph
positive pressure signs
It is a scorching load and I may still use it myself because of its performance. .268 inch group. The flier to the lower left I called before looking at the target. I’ll load some more and try it again soon.

mello, I went up to 64 grains. The bolt lift was just a bit sticky so I backed down to 62 grains. I also neck sized and crimped with the lee dies. I also started .025" off the lands. I don't have my notes here but I think the velocity was 3125 fps in a 22" barrel. I could think you'd get 200 fps or so better with your 26" barrel, but your combo is smoking fast.
How old is you powder? I'm on my third can and the most recent stuff doesn't make the velocity like the first couple of batches I used. The early stuff was big boy and the new can is marked magnum. Ramshot claims they are the same. Next time I buy the stuff I'll get 16 or 24 pounds of the same lot.

On the can this batch came from, the inventory sticker on the bottom has 10/10/03. I think this is the date but, there is no lot num. Yesterday I bought a new can with 2/01/05 on the bottom. Yesterday was hot 85-90 degrees, but it should not have made that much diff. How is your case life? Could the cci primer cause some of the diff? My bolt had the slightest amount of stickiness. Funny but the same combo at .015 of lands did not show as much pressure signs but did not group as well. That speed was one shot over an oleer(sp?) chronograph that another person at the range had.

I think the distance to the lands is creating most of the pressure increase. If your rifle likes the bullet that close, then you should load them that way and back off the amount of powder a grain or two. I use the same load for accubonds and 115 ballistic tips and I'm getting ready to load the same batch of brass the fifth time.

I believe that is some good advice. I’ll try 61gr at the same depth. Ramshot’s data has the 115 partition going 3102fps with 60gr out of a 24” test barrel. Since 62gr was pushing 3486fps with my load, I figure some thing around 3300fps splitting the diff. I can’t really be sure with out a chrony, but it seams to be about my best guess. That is plenty fast for me. I hope the newer can of powder is not diff from the older one.
