The Super sizer is what you would need to only size shells.
The only time I needed to size them was when I used empties that were not fired in my gun

Hairtrigger, Thank you for pointing that out. It's what I meant to say but since it's the wrong tool ( size master is another press ) it was very misleading.

I did not want to be a prick, but if the guy looks up a supersizer and sees the price, that would make a 650 look like an unattractive option!

Ditto, Hairtrigger----- You only need to size shells that weren't fired in your gun, and then only if they won't go in your gun to begin with. I loaded many thousands of once-fired AA hulls back when I was shooting a lot that had been fired in other guns, and can't remember more than a few occasions of having a tight shell casing. They were all loaded on my old 650 MEC.
A chamber on the large side of tolerances may require shells be resized to fit your particular gun.

fastfire, I was just about to order a new reloading kit for shotshells, but you post that the savings would only be three penniesper boxthrows a bucket of water on my powder. Is that actually the only savings? We just put in a six position trap range and a complete sporting clay range and thought these thousands of hulls I have needed a place to be reloaded...........

Hulls - free
powder $18.00 per lb- 30gr =$1.94
shot -$24.00 per 25lb -1 1/8 oz $1.70
primers-$20.00 per 1000 = $.50
wads - $24.00 per 1000 = $.60
total $4.74
You might find better prices but this is the cost in my area for small amounts.
+ the cost of press & powder scales + your time.
Walmart same basic load $3.99 a box by the case
and I have found even cheaper deals.

If you buy in large quantities cost goes down.
But you have to be able to store it.
500 lb of shot takes up a lot of space.
large cans of powder you have to store properly & so on.

If you are a club or something similar check around.
A few of the Rod & Gun Clubs in the area went together & buy factory ammo at $2.50 to 3.00 per 25 rounds they
sell to us at a $.25 mark up.

I would say you are paying too much for powder , wads, and shot
I just paid $102 for 8 lbs of Clays powder, $16.75 for a bag of hard shot
However
If you are shooting for fun and happy with the cheep 100 packs of shells at wally world reloading is not for you unless you need a hobby to keep yourself off the streets!!

I stated 2 things & you can not read!!!!!
1. cost in my area!!!!!!!!!!!!
2. Cost is less when you buy in bulk.

You need somthing to keep you off the streets
try school AND

LEARN to READ before you start slaming.

I buy components in bulk and my loads are costing right around 3bucks a box depending on what is in them, I just bought 3 flats of pretty decent shells for $3.50/box including tax...I'm still using my hand loads for serious shoots but I'm trying out the store-bought ones and they work good.
