RE: 338 Ultra with 225 Accubonds?
Idaho.
I tried finding loading info for the 338 RUM and had very little luck.
I did find some on the Accurate site and in a few other forums but wasnt too keen on trying them for the fact that I have no idea of who posted them.
I did infact try the factory 225 gr. Accubonds and they group pretty good (1" to 1.5" groups).
Nothing like the 250 gr. A-Frames which I am getting .75" to 1.0" groups at 100 yards.
Just my 2 cents.

RE: 338 Ultra with 225 Accubonds?
I'm reloading a 338 RUM as well - have not developed the recipe yet. For now, I'm pushing a heavier bullet - 275 Grain Speer. As these bullets are no longer available, I will be switching to 250 Grain when these are gone.
At this time, I'm using H1000 with Fed 215 primers - and just starting the load building process. After the first round of testing, I think I'm going to be looking at other powders - any suggestions?
I was pleasantly surprised when I first shot the 338 RUM. I was anticipating more recoil than I experienced. At least now I'm confident the gun will be shootable - looking forward to getting the recipe right. This is my first more than 30 cal cartidge - it's gonna be fun.

RE: 338 Ultra with 225 Accubonds?
I believe I use 91.0 gr. of RL-22 with the 225 accubond in a remington 700 bdl. I believe that is max so start lower. I really like this gun and caliber. I too was expecting more recoil, but was pleasently surprised when it wasn't much. I have recoverd 2 bullets (225 accubonds) out of 2 bull elk. I will try to take some pictures of them and weight them tonight and post back tomorrow. I will also check my load data. I contacted Nosler a few years back and they sent me a scanned copy of their book load data. I can send it to you if you want (it is a .pdf file). It doesn't have the accubond info, but they said to use the data for the partion or off of this sheet.

I checked my load info and I am using 91.0 gr RL-22, Rem 9-1/2M primmer and 225 accubonds. 91 is the max load ***-use this data at your own risk-***
These are two accubonds from 2 different elk. The one on the left was approx 360 yards and the ones on the right was aprox 400-450 yards. The one on the left weighed 132.8 (59.0%) and the one on the right weighed 136 (60.4%).

RE: 338 Ultra with 225 Accubonds?
Idaho.
I have looked for reloading data for awhile now and have found very little info. Some off of other forums but they sure didnt sound like they were up to par, or that I would trust useing. I ended up trying a bounch of factory loads and found two that my gun seems to like. One is the 250 gr. CL's and the other is the 250 gr. A-Frames.
The A-Frames have a better group than do the CL's. I have shot the 225 Accubonds and they do pretty good but Icould not get them to group under 1.5 @ 100 yards.
If you find something then I would be interested in the load info.
I am going to look into tryingJD338's info but I am going to startwith a little milder load.
Thanks
