8x56R

Hey,
Anyone have any load data for Steyr 8x56R? I have 170 gr hornady bullets on hand but would like any data. Preciate it!

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but the 8mm hronady bullets probably aren't going to work too well in Your S-M. The 8x56r steyr mannlichers have a groove diameter of .329" and the 8mm hornady bullets are only .323" in diameter. Even worse is that the few companies that make .329" bullets charge an arm and a leg for them. Here's a website on this topic that explains some options your have with this rifle for reloading. link

Hornady is producing a .330 205 grain SP for the 8x56. Graf & Sons has them.

Heres some data, use at your own risk. I haven't used it, soI cannot comment on how good it is.
