300 ultra mag loads
 

Any one have a good load they use for the 300 ultra mag.my gunsmith reloads for me and the best bullet is the ballistic tip{1.5-2.00"groups @100yds} have tried other bullets with different powder and couldn't get any accuracy out of them.

I use 180gr ballistic tips and reloader 25 powder.My own gun gives me 3375fps
and 1/2" groups.

Nosler 180gr BT's with 81.0 of IMR 4350! I reload for my friend and his 700 LSS shoots 1/2&quot; groups @100 yards...<img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>

I had alot of trouble at first loading this round. My gun likes 200gr best of all. I have had best luck out of H1000. Also, try something different. I was trying to load mine real long, around 3.7&quot;COL with inconsistent groups. Some days, .5, others 1.5&quot; with a flyer. I started loading deeper. And got 1.1&quot; groups very consistently at 200 yards. When I say deeper, I mean 3.5&quot; COL down to the cannelure of Grand Slams and Swift A-Frames. I also crimped. So 90gr of H1000 Fed, 215M primer should do it. Had luck out of 95gr of H1000 and 180gr Nosler PT loading those 3.6&quot; COL.
