Shameless Request for Inappropriate...

Ok, now that you're here ignore the last two words of the title.

I've just purchased and hand press and dies for my 22-250 and 41magnum
I thought I'd put out a shameless request for recipes you've taken' a liking to.
I'm interested particularly in Lil' gun loads with the 41 and H380/Varget loads with the 22-250. (note: I've got a stock 700, the 1:14" simple won't stabilize anything over 55gr) I ordered a Lee manual/CD and one of those caliber specific manuals for each...but would like to get a feel for what's popular with the masses until they arrive.

Thanks, sorry if I let you down with the inappopriate titel:D

I used to say finding the correct load was most of the fun.
Now while remodeling my house and with the family and more guns time does not permit.
I will get to my reloading room within a few days HOPEFULLY and check my notes

36-37 grains of Varget with 50 V-Maxes is my favorite .22/250 load, depending on the rifle. It's accurate and fast, and splatters PDs like they ate some C-4.
Max loads of Varget with 40sare also very fast, but aren't too good for long distance
With 55 grain V-Maxes, I used a lot of H-4895, H414 and H380, the 4895 gave better velocities than the ball powders (3750 compared to 3550, in a 26" Winchester), but got about the same accuracy.
I haven't owned a .41 for several years (since Lil Gun came out) but I liked a home cast Lyman 410459 cast bullet (225 actual weight) with 11.0 of the older Unique, for 1365 and tiny groups. Sorry I can't be more specific for your needs, but these might give you a good start to someplace.....

Here's a relatively mild load that has performed well in a lot of .22-250's: 36 grains of H-380 with a 55 grain Nosler Ballistic Tip - or 55 grain Sierra Blitzking bullet. Try 'em both. I use Remington primers and Remington brass.

I agree. H-380 is my powder of choice for the 22-250 pushing 52 and 55 grainers.
