What is the sound of one hand clapping? Seriously, nobody can tell you because each rifle is different.

welcome grantjhull, like has been mentioned different guns like different loads, @ 150 yrds any of them should be very accurate, if your grouping is really bad, (looks like it was shot with a scattergun) try another manufactor, even the same type/caliber/make of guns will not always like the same things, it's trial and error,as for bullets, a lot of folks really like the ballistic tip type bullets, i'm still shootingnosler partitions,in the the 7mm/.284 bullets i always liked the 139/140 gr. btw i reload and havent shot any "factory" ammo in quite a few days;), but you'll find one you like, get busy, the 7mm-08 is a great caliber, mine is in a encore pistol w/15" barrel and fixed 4X leupold scope[:-], lots of fun, but people really look at you funny when you tell them your hunting with your pistol, and you pull this dude out.....

best of luck

The 7mm-08 is a great caliber.
However (This is only my opinion) the cal seems to always get dealt an unfair hand when it comes to commercial ammo makers...
Is there any commercial 7mm-08 ammo out there besides Rem Core- Loct?:D:D:D
Thats the only "Over The Counter Brand" available at our local gun shop.
Thankfully I Handload...

In reply to the search for " factory " ammo for the 7mm-08, Hornady makes "Light Mag" ammo using 139 gr. SST bullets. Advertised at MV of 3000 fps. Didn't shoot as well in my 7-08 as Rem. factory, but rifles are individuals unto themselves, and the Hornady loads may shoot well for you. Handloading is, as most always the case, the best bet, along with the possibility of a good bedding job as a strong foundation for accuracy. Don't get discouraged, just keep plugging along until the right combination pops up.

Grant

Like everyone else has said, every rifle is different, even rifles of the same make and model. What make / model 7mm-08 do you have?

At any rate, below is a link to Able Ammo which list 15 different 7mm-08 factory ammo offerings.

I've got a Remington Mountian LSS in 7mm-08. I handload so I haven't tried any on the factory ammo; however, in my gun the 140 Sierra Game Kings and the 140 Nosler Accubonds have proved to be the most accurate.

You didn't say what you would be hunting at +150 Yds. Accuracy is one thing, but matching the bullet to the game you are hunting is equally important (if not more so).
