300 win mag load ?
 

Does anyone have any starting and max. loads for a 150gr nosler ballistic tip using IMR4831 for a 300 Win Mag that they would mind sharing? I am shooting a 24 inch barrel with a 1 in 10 twist.

According to my Nosler manual, the starting point is 72.0gr IMR4831 at 3250 fps and the max is 76.0gr at 3390 fps with Fed 215 primers.

I would be careful pushing the ballistic tips in that weight range at those speeds. I would imagine some fairly explosive results inside 200 yards.

I load and shoot 150 Gr Ballistic Tips in my Model 70 300 Win Mag and I experimented with H4350 in 3-4 grain increments and it liked 79 grains the best.
I was shooting at 130 yards and with that load from a bench rest my 3 shot group was 3/4"

I have had the best accuracy with 150 grain bullets using IMR 4350 - in several .300 Win Mags.I used73.0 grains and it shot like a varmint rifle.
