can someone post a poll?

I've been having an onging discussion about the best bullet manufacturer's with a friend of mine. he's a die-hard nosler guy and I'm a loyal Barnes shooter. both of us have tried the other guys faves but still prefer our own. So I'm wondering...take a bunch of avid shooters and loaders and ask them which is their favorite and what would come out...barnes? nosler? speer? Each is excellent in their own way and will outperform their competitors in certain tests. Each has a variety of excellent bullets that are designed for a specific purpose. We would probably find that most serious guys use all of them for different loads and different uses. but, what is their favorite? i can't post a poll but can someone that access do this. I'm curious to see what would come out and the discussions that would come along with it.

RE: can someone post a poll?

I would like to see this in a poll form also.
I use Nosler, Barnes, Swift, Hornady & Sierra.
My target/varmit rifles all use Sierra bullets.
My hunting rifles decide what gets shot out of them. If Nosler Partitions group best in a certain rifle? Then I handload Nosler Partitions for that rifle. Same goes for Barnes, Swift or Hornady.
I never handload Sierra bullets in a big game hunting rifle. I only hunt with premium bullets. Do I need a premium bullet to kill a deer? NO I do not. I just sleep better knowing that my bullet will not explode on impact. I want controlled expantion & maximum penetration.

For hunting, I use Nosler in my center fire guns.

So somebody put up the poll.... I'd be curious also.

I shoot Nosler, Swift, Speer, Hornady, and Sierra. Out of those, I have more green boxes at my loading bench than any other.

That would be a good pole.
I use Barnes VLCs and Hornady V-max for varmint
I use Barnes XLCs for my 300 WSM and Nosler BSTs for my 7x57mm and 30-06.

seems as though others would like to see this poll, too...so how do we get one posted?

I'm not much of a reloader but I gotta ask.....

Exactly what category are we talking about here. Varmints, antelope/ deer, elk/ moose, bears, dangerous game, target shooting, 600 yard bench rest etc....

I think you just answered your own question right here. There is no favorite bullet that will do it all the best.

Nosler is #1 hands down and always will be.
Sierra is #2
