Word of the Day, March 7, 2017

“ In Your presence, Lord I will find my strength. You’re the breath in me. You're my everything with my heart bowed low and my hands held high. All consuming fire. It’s You GOD it’s You. It’s You, only You.”

Hosea 10:12

12 Sow to yourselves in righteousness, reap in mercy; break up your fallow ground: for it is time to seek the LORD, till he come and rain righteousness upon you.

I often write that we need to be seeking GOD daily. Yesterday I wrote to seek Him, to pray to Him, to thank Him and know that if we seek Him, we shall find Him. So here is Part 2 of yesterday’s WOD.

Today I would like to share some verses that speak of just that, seeking Him.

2 Chronicles 15:2: 2 And he went out to meet Asa, and said unto him, Hear ye me, Asa, and all Judah and Benjamin; The LORD is with you, while ye be with him; and if ye seek him, he will be found of you; but if ye forsake him, he will forsake you.

This is very clear to me, if we seek Him, He will be found and if we forsake Him, He will forsake us.

Hebrews 11:6: 6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

By seeking Him, we must have faith. We must believe that He is. We must believe that He was and He will always be. We must diligently seek Him, whether it has rewards or not. Are rewards will be in Heaven.

Acts 17:27: 27 That they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him, and find him, though he be not far from every one of us:

GOD is ready to be found. We need not to look far to find Him. He is near us. We think that He is so far away, in the atmosphere, out of this world. However, He is closer than we think. Just seek Him and you will find him.

Lamentations 3:25: 25 The LORD is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him.

Do we patiently wait upon the LORD, seeking Him?

Deuteronomy 4:29: 29 But if from thence thou shalt seek the LORD thy God, thou shalt find him, if thou seek him with all thy heart and with all thy soul.

The Bible says that if we seek, we shall find. The question is are we seeking Him with our whole heart and soul or only some of us or when we need something?

Ezra 8:22: 22 For I was ashamed to require of the king a band of soldiers and horsemen to help us against the enemy in the way: because we had spoken unto the king, saying, The hand of our God is upon all them for good that seek him; but his power and his wrath is against all them that forsake him.

GOD promises that if we seek Him that His hand will be upon us. But, if you forsake Him, His power and wrath will be against you. In verse 23, the people decided to fast and they sought Him and GOD was with them.

Amos 5:4: 4 For thus saith the LORD unto the house of Israel, Seek ye me, and ye shall live:

Seek Him and it shall be well with you. “ The LORD is His name ” that we shall seek.

1 Chronicles 28:9: 9 And thou, Solomon my son, know thou the God of thy father, and serve him with a perfect heart and with a willing mind: for the LORD searcheth all hearts, and understandeth all the imaginations of the thoughts: if thou seek him, he will be found of thee; but if thou forsake him, he will cast thee off for ever.

King David is giving his son some Godly wisdom and advice. He tells his son Solomon to know GOD, to serve GOD with a perfect heart and a willing mind and to seek Him and not to forsake GOD because if you do, He will cast thee off forever. Are we teaching this to our children?

Jeremiah 29:13-14:
13 And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart. 14 And I will be found of you, saith the LORD: and I will turn away your captivity, and I will gather you from all the nations, and from all the places whither I have driven you, saith the LORD; and I will bring you again into the place whence I caused you to be carried away captive.

When we seek GOD half hearted, we shall not find Him. But if we seek Him with all that we are, He will be right there for us. He promises to take care of us.

Psalm 9:10: 10 And they that know thy name will put their trust in thee: for thou, LORD, hast not forsaken them that seek thee.

Hope you enjoy our little bible study. ☺ The word is clear, we are to seek GOD, to know Him more, trust Him and He will not forsake those that seek Him. Good thing I let the word of GOD speak. Seek Him first and His righteousness and all these things will be added unto you.

“ And if our God is for us, then who could ever stop us? And if our God is with us, then what could stand against? And if our God is for us, then who could ever stop us? And if our God is with us, then what could stand against? Then what could stand against? Our God is greater, our God is stronger, God you are higher than any other.”
