Primos Turbo Dogg

Recently purchased a Primos Turbo Dogg. For the price tag ($135) I think its a pretty fair value. The sound is not "tin canny" or hollow, plenty loud, some nice features and lots of downloads available. I have nothing bad to say about the Foxpro Wildfire 2 as two of my hunting buddies have them and they work great. We use them mostly for day calling coon dens.

FoxPro is a good caller but in the northeast woods coyotes hang back and their are callers with far longer reaching remotes that lets the hunter see and kill more coyotes. You will see many eastern hunters who say FoxPro is the best and have yet to call and kill 1 single coyote in the eastern United States. I would like to see some FoxPro furtakers shows killing eastern coyotes.

Maybe their specific show hasn't, but i know i have a dvd from foxpro calling in the east that's a bit older. Also, our friend bhw on here is foxpro pro staff, he hammers fox and coyote out east in new york with his foxpro callers.

I'd like to hear your experiences with E-caller remotes with proven longer ranges than the FoxPro FHSS remotes? I've played with a lot of callers and haven't found better range yet that I could say was conclusively better, especially in thick cover.

Foxpro Hellfire!

If we're going by brand alone, it's gotta be FOXPRO. My favorite is the Shockwave (review here). FOXBANG, FOXDATA, and all the other features just blow everything else out of the water.

However, there are plenty of electronic coyote call models from good brands that have served me well. The ICOtec GC300 is a fine caller, as is the Primos Dogg Catcher. Both are good entry level units.

Other than my home built unit the best I have heard or seen is my friends ICO TEC gc500. The remote we have used out to 260 yards, holds 200 free calls and cost less than $175.00 most places. It is compact battery's life (use good batterys) is very good, screen lights up well at night and easy to read too.
