Default Apple And Google Threaten Parler Unless They Comply To Their Thoughts

Well that was quick. They just threaten to deplatform unless they comply with their thoughts.

Couldn't Parler offer the app as a download from their own website? I know this would not be as easy as getting the app from the Google and Apple "stores" but the app could still be gotten.

This is not my area of expertise. I'm also curious to see if Parler could offer the app from their own website. I would think they can but I'm not an IT guy so who knows.

Yes, they are offering their app from their website. You can also go on their website directly via a browser for now unless they edit access on browsers.

Amazon has announced they will cut off the servers tonight. I understand Parler has already begun to transfer to another server provider and will be up again by noon tomorrow.

For those who have tried to access Parler but have had trouble, the site is getting so much traffic, it's been crashing. Lots of conservatives jumping.

I looked at Parler yesterday from my Win10 laptop, and went straight to the website. I created a user account, thinking it might be somewhat similar to Facebook. Wrong... It's awkward, bizarre looking, and hard to navigate around.

I'll stick with Facebook, even though there's awful things going on, I just "block it" and have all those account settings and privacy enabled. Way too many old USCG buddies and relatives to quit FB. Look me up if you want: Butch Ammon

Like anything else... You're just not used to it. Had you started on Parler years ago then saw Facebook you'd probably say the same thing.

I've never been on Parler. And haven't been on Facebook in several years but I'm sure if you spent some time there you'd be used to it rather quickly.

Parler is more like Twitter. I use it to read updates on people I want to hear from. Mewe is more like FB. Their big difference is it's a subscription based service. I think it's like $5/month is how they get their revenue. I dumped FB months ago. My friends know how to contact me. I could no longer allow them to sell my information and advertise to me anymore. By remaining with FB, they're making money off you to do all bad things to the country they're doing. So your choice really is allow them to profit off you to fund Facism or not.

All my friends and family have this thing that was invented 100+ years ago. It's called a phone number. Social media is pretty much all left leaning if not both feet firmly planted left. Never got into face book or twitter or any of that other new age junk. Even this site is fairly new to me. Never was a computer guy. Still carry a pen and note pad. Even my smart phone is mentally challenged.
