Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default Police organization changes sides!

Major Police Association Switches From Dems to Trump in Surprise Endorsement

Posted by: admin in Politics July 16, 2020 2 Comments 226 Views

In 2008, the National Association of Police Organizations (NAPO) threw their endorsement behind Barack Obama and his running mate, Joe Biden. In 2012, they endorsed the duo once again. In 2016, they were apparently uneasy about Hillary Clinton, so they decided to withhold their endorsement altogether. But in 2020, with Biden back on the ticket, one might have expected that they would return gladly to the Democrat fold and give Uncle Joe the boost he needs to attract votes from law enforcement officers across the country.

On Wednesday, they did the exact opposite.

After meeting with President Trump earlier in the week, representatives from NAPO announced that they were endorsing the president’s reelection bid, thanking him for his “steadfast and very public support” during this time of public rebellion against the cops.

In a letter, NAPO president Michael McHale said that Trump’s support of law enforcement was crucial “during this time of unfair and inaccurate opprobrium being directed at our members by so many.”

“We particularly value your directing the Attorney General to aggressively prosecute those who attack our officers,” McHale wrote.

represents more than 1,000 police associations and more than 200,000 officers would shift so suddenly from a dedicated endorsement of Obama/Biden to one of Trump, it certainly makes sense given what we’ve seen over the last month or so. Biden has yet to get behind defunding the police, because let’s face it, he’s not a complete fool. But his gestures of support for American law enforcement have been timid and weak, his support for Black Lives Matter loud and proud.

No matter what Biden may privately believe about police and the people who hate them, his public pronouncements make it abundantly clear that he is going to go whichever way the leftist winds are blowing. If you’re a police officer in America right now, that should fill you with dread.

On the other hand, Trump has not waffled.

“Our officers have been under vicious assault,” Trump said Monday. “Reckless politicians have defamed our heroes as the enemy…These radical politicians want to defund and abolish the police. My administration is pro-safety, pro-police and anti-crime.”

It’s fairly remarkable that we live in a day and age that to declare yourself “pro-police and anti-crime” is considered a radical, controversial, and even racist statement. But that’s the case. And that’s why, if you want to have any hope whatsoever of a future where we don’t have utter chaos in the streets, you’d better damn well figure out which politicians are on the same page.

And which ones aren’t.

They always side with the Dems. Until now. While it's an abrupt and unforeseen change, I wouldn't expect them to continue supporting Republicans.

The far left is a totally different animal than the Democrats, though many Democrats have always leaned in much the same direction.
The far left doesn't tolerate competition, be it religion, Unions, competing political views, or even public speech. One of my teachers pictured the far right and the far left as a circle rather than a flat line. If they get extreme enough they both end up in the same place and aren't polar opposites but much the same, Government is the center of their universe and all-powerful. "Totalitarianism is a form of government that attempts to assert total control over the lives of its citizens. It is characterized by a strong central rule that attempts to control and direct all aspects of individual life through coercion and repression. It does not permit individual freedom..." The Democrats like to label the right as fascist, But who in reality are the Fascists? Using the circle hypothesis it really doesn't make much difference if they are Socialist, Communist, or Fascist if their policies and end goals are much the same.
I've been wondering when religious minorities and traditionally Democratic organizations were going to wake up and figure out there is no place for them in the progressive lefts new world order.

That seems pretty accurate. People try to control everything and end up being dictators. Doesn't matter if you're on the left or right, if you're a control freak, you're still a control freak and eventually will do stuff that your side doesn't like either.
