Beto O’Rourke Doubles Down on Comparing Trump to Hitler

Posted by: admin in Politics October 22, 2019 17 Comments 490 Views

You know, it’s pretty funny. The left is always the quick to scream, “Reductio ad Hitlerum” whenever a gun-rights proponent mentions that strict gun-control laws in Weimar Germany made it extremely easy for Adolf Hitler and his Nazis to take power and begin subjugating the vast undesirable populations into concentration camps. They insist that simply ascribing policies to Hitler is a weak form of fallacious argumentation, meant to appeal to emotion and short-circuit reasoned discussion.

So, for instance, they would mock you for comparing Beto O’Rourke’s plan to send police all over the nation to confiscate AR-15s to the policies of Nazi Germany.

But when it comes to comparing President Donald Trump and his administration to the Third Reich? Oh, that’s just fine. Obviously.

In an interview on CNN Monday, presidential candidate O’Rourke defended his constant use of the analogy.

“It is the comparison of last resort and that is where we are,” O’Rourke said. “I don’t mean the last resort politically or last resort in terms of defeating the president in November. The last resort for this country that is descending into open racism and intolerance and violence led by the president.

“Now, whether it is what he said about Muslims or immigrants or the way he treats women of color in this country, or the fact that he described Klansman and Neo-Nazis as very fine people, we can’t fail to connect the dots and draw the conclusion about the danger that President Trump poses to this country,” O’Rourke continued.

How, exactly, does Trump treat “women of color in this country?” Is O’Rourke seriously trying to make some connection between Trump’s remarks criticizing Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and her Squadmates to the policies of the Nazi regime?

Is what Trump said about Muslims really all that shocking, considering the evils that religion has visited upon the world in its jihadist extremism?

And, for the thousandth time, Trump never referred to neo-Nazis as “very fine people.” Indeed, he went out of his way to exclude them from that description.

But don’t let the facts get in the way of your propaganda, Beto.

I hope he doesn't have a college degree or even a HS Diploma. If he was allowed to graduate from either, he should ask for a refund.

Well, how about ironically accurate and truthful?

Although Beto being tied with skim milk sounds like a joke you would hear on one of the late shows.
