Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Just occurred to me that's probably what the Huron said about Champlain when they first met. Then of course he saved their butts...

Early in the morning when it is still I can almost hear the Indian chants around the campfire. Bet if I dug in the yard I would find artifacts.

I think it's funny yet scary that he actually does believe this stuff. It's gone way past the prank stage.

I find it hard to believe that in the entire universe, we are the only populated planet.

that said, IF they exist and IF they've been here, they are way more advanced than us, IF they got here they solved light speed, or better, travel, and can "blend" or be invisible.

On the other hand, even if there are other planets that have life on them, maybe we are the most advanced.

Or they just don't bother with us :-)

I agree. It seems a reasonable conjecture that there are other intelligent beings in the universe.

If aliens visit earth, they would likely have much more advanced technology than we have. If you look at the history of encounters between human cultures with vastly different levels of technology, the encounter has not been good for the less technologically advanced culture. Why assume alien beings are more moral than us? Wouldn't it be expected that, like us, they would want the better things for themselves and not be too fussy how they expropriated good things that belonged to others of lesser technological mastery? The fact that we have not been enslaved yet or are not being fed to these aliens could be advanced as an argument that aliens have NOT visited Earth.

This always puzzles me about the scientific initiatives to establish contact with others via radio signals. Do you REALLY want to tell the Hells Angels where you live?

This song might be an appropriate response to such a outlandish claim:
