Default Bernie The Red running in 2020

Well it looks like our elected senator from Vermont won't be earning his paycheck once again. He announced he is running for POTUS again in 2020. All those campaign stops all across America helps poor little Vermont how?

Think of the pride it will bring to Vermont.

Vermont has never had an elected president.

I think that will continue beyond 2020

Chester Arthur and Calvin Coolage were born in Vt. Bernie is very popular here in the Green Mountain State even though he came here from NYC. It won't surprise me to see him win the primary. He had a huge following last time. The question remains was that popularity because people didn't want to vote for Hillary? Then taking it a step further if he wins the 2020 primary, will he get votes for POTUS that came from people who don't want to see Trump re-elected?

They both got in as vice presidents after the president died.

As far as Bernie earning a paycheck .... That really isn't what his campaign is based on lol...

I do think you have a valid concern though. I think he'll make a better run of it this time with Hillary out of the way. And may pick up a lot of on the fence voters.

I really hate to say it but it could be his perfect storm assuming he can win the Dem Primary. Personally speaking I hope with all the Dem candidates, they all turn on each other and self destruct before it is finally done. I wouldn't guess that Trumps positive ratings are growing so he needs some huge gains in his final 2 years to get re-elected. With the new House majority I don't see much happening for him. The last two elected POTUS make me realize anything is possible. I would hate to see Bernie get elected. It would be a socialist train wreck that even staunch Democrats wouldn't be able to handle..

Bernie has too low of a ceiling to compete in the general.

Remember at his peak he couldn't even beat Hillary Clinton among democrat voters. His base is highly energized but lacks the numbers.

Bernie will again be nothing more than a burden for democrats who may again have to push further and further left to beat him.

Bernie helps us win.
