Okay, I need a bit more explanation... It would seem to me that the dollars finding there way back into the US. are being used to purchase US assets... Selling homeland assets to foreigners doesn't strike me as an ideal way to balance the deficit... Sure the dollars are coming back, but at what eventual cost?

First, I will point to the Japanese way back when. They were buying up all the real estate they could get their hands on and everyone was freaking out. They missed the fact they couldn't take it with them. Where is all of their ownership today? However, the more important factor, I sell my home for 500k. They have a home in the US and I now have 500k in the US which I now can choose how I want to invest it.
